In this Broadcast Award-winning, BAFTA and Emmy Award-nominated entertainment show, Taskmaster tyrant Greg Davies (Man Down, Cuckoo), with the help of his loyal assistant Alex Horne (The Horne Section and the show’s creator), sets out to test the wiles, wit and wisdom of five hyper-competitive comedians.

Comedians that have risked life, limb, and dignity in the hope of making the Taskmaster proud so far include: Frank Skinner (The Frank Skinner Show), Mel Giedroyc (The Great British Bake Off), Romesh Ranganathan (Asian Provocateur), Hugh Dennis (Outnumbered), Sally Phillips (Bridget Jones’ Diary), Rose Matafeo (Edinburgh Comedy Award Winner 2018), and Russell Howard (The Russell Howard Hour). Unaware of what awaits them in each wax-sealed envelope, only one competitor can become the victorious owner of His Royal Task-ness’ golden head and be crowned the next Taskmaster Champion.

  1. 20 minutes to build and demonstrate your volcano. I'm lead to believe that Iain half buried a tube in soil, wheelbarrowed large pebbles and dumped them around the tube, drilled a hole in the lid, filled the tube with three or four bottles of coke, decorated the volcano with little models, had a little monologue all within that 20 minutes? Wondering if craft based tasks are more forgiving with their time limit.

  2. They should have added Rod to the hula one. He wouldnt have done it, but he would have had some masterfully hilarious reasoning for not.

  3. There was absolutely no mention of only getting one chance to hula. The task was to "improve your hula-ing the most" And Acaster clearly succeeded, even if he didn't necessarily prove it on his first chance..

  4. How was Phil's oral tradition story a fail? Solid win in my book, the guy's a genius (yeah, ok he missed the pen and paper, but composing in his brain is arguably more impressive). I love Phil and his oh-so-prominent Wang

  5. Can't be sure but I wonder if his mentos didn't work because he used cola and not diet cola. Also used alot of the gas up pushing it out to forcefully.

  6. The thing about the hula hoop task is that even though he botched it on his first go, James still won didn't he? If you look at it as a percentage of their original time, or the person who got the least worse, or something like that? Phil did ten times longer than James in the original clip but James went longer in the studio on his first go.
