MEGAQUAKE Warning in JAPAN!!! #informative #japan

Spread The Viralist

Japan experiences around 1,500 earthquakes annually, but for the first time, they’ve issued a warning about a megaquake. On August 8, another earthquake struck Japan, but most of the time, these tremors don’t cause much damage due to Japan’s preparedness.

All buildings in Japan are constructed with specific building codes designed to withstand earthquakes. Even schools provide training on how to stay safe during such disasters. However, the case of a megaquake is extremely dangerous, as these earthquakes have a magnitude of over 8.

The Nankai Trough, a 900-kilometer-long underwater area in Japan, experiences massive earthquakes every 100 to 150 years. The last time such a quake occurred, it claimed around 1,300 lives.

Experts believe that within the next 30 years, a quake with a magnitude of over 9 will hit this region. Such a quake could trigger a tsunami as high as 100 feet, potentially damaging one-third of Japan.

In the worst-case scenario, this megaquake could lead to the loss of around 300,000 lives. The warning issued for this megaquake serves as a reminder of the immense risks posed by natural disasters in Japan.
