North Carolina officials pledged to get more water and other supplies to flood-stricken areas by Monday after Hurricane Helene left a trail of destruction across the U.S. Southeast and the death toll from the storm rose to nearly 100.

At least 91 people across several states were killed. A North Carolina county that includes the mountain city of Asheville reported 30 people killed.

Gov. Roy Cooper predicted the toll would rise as rescuers and other emergency workers reached areas isolated by collapsed roads, failing infrastructure and widespread flooding.

  1. So sad that fema isn't doing anything for them either. They gave all the funds to illegals who hate our country. The biden administration has to go.

  2. I had to leave Asheville, it’s way too isolated. No cell service, no electricity, no food and no water. It’s very serious, words cannot describe it!

  3. Why is no one talking about weaverville? My daughter and many others are there and there's no communication! Only thing said is no power, no cell service and no water! People talking about clearing roads, pick one road and get it cleared so that the people up there have a way to get out and rescue can get in. This is day 5 without power, service and water. Lots of people in Ashville and we see the footage and many there are using their phones but nothing for weaverville! Why are they not sending helicopters up there? My entire family can't reach my daughter but we heard that they were setting up a "drive-by" type at a school for people to get water. How? They have no phone service and no power so how are they telling people to come get water? They can't get fuel but they want to do a "drive- by" for water so that what… so people run completely out of fuel and end up stranding their vehicles? What kind of stupid is running this? Seriously. I'm hearing "we can't get up there because the roads are all out". OK well you know God gave us horses and mules and donkeys, he even gave men the abilities to make and buy 4- wheelers… now of these need a freaking road! What happened, did people forget how to do things without their cell phones and roads? Why would they not be taking the water door to door? This would also allow for check ins… there's lots of crazies out there and now you have crazy with chaos… breeding grounds for trouble. People need water to live!
