My girl Dixie was thrown out of a truck and I rescued her called animal control and reported incident and the guy was going to give dog back to owner she was microchipped he called owner and I’m like , I just told you she was thrown out of truck she is hurt and limping and your giving her back to her abuser ? Boy I was furious but thank God guys name was Geronimo 🙄said he didn’t want her so animal control guy let me take her and thank God the lazy moronic idjit was to lazy to do his job correctly! It took 2 years before she allowed hubby to go near her that’s how traumatized she was , I lost her to sickness even after paying over 4 thousand to help her and I now despise most Vetenerian’s because they milked me with money and more money when vet knew she wasn’t going to make it and Dixie was suffering while the vet telling me this or that would work and it was all lies but I finally called my husband because he is truck driver and was out of town that it was time to put our little girl to sleep because it wasn’t fair to her and her feet were swollen her skin tearing because she was retaining water so I assumed her organs were failing one by one 😢 I said goodbye to my baby sat with her and I regret not staying while she was passing because my heart couldn’t take watching while my best friend was being put to sleep ! I hope anyone who goes thru this stay to the end or you’ll have regrets like I do ! RIP Dixie girl ❤ I swear I sometimes hear her in the pantry because she didn’t allow the cats in there because she knew her food and treats were in there 😂 even now I hear her and I’ve even seen cats ears move and get up to stand by pantry door because they also hear what I hear plus I do keep bag of treats for Dixie even now ❤😊

This is the perfect testament to the fact that there are no excuses for abandoning a dog. No amount of excuses – poverty, sickness, natural disaster, moving places etc gives anyone the pass to abandon their pets except for unexpected death. I live in Honolulu and we have a lot of homeless people around, but I'll say when I see their dogs, they are all the most well behaved and happiest little things ever. All these creatures want is to love and be loved. We don't deserve them
