But who are the "fascists"? Could it be that the true fascists are trying to divert attention by false accusations, twisted words? It's something they do. It's always hard to recognize the devil.

The lame stuff you use to call him one aka him alledging saying he would get the troops involved, the democrats Biden and Pelosi have actually done to quell riots. The way Trump and his henchmen talk about other Americans is incredibly troubling. Trump holds the kind of ideology that the very Americans who are cheering him on ancestors fought against. It’s just weird

That orange man does not have a policy for the Americans or the free world and people are are elevating his cruelty . I think they are cheering him on knowing that he is going to destroy the country so they can laugh at us. The world is watching to see if we're smarter than we say we are.
I feel like O'Brien was unnecessarily harsh with Adam. He was trying to answer the question, I didn't get the impression he had egregiously awful views. Just describing a vibe rather than reality.

The only thing about the royal family is that yes, the heir to the throne who lives in various castles and palaces wants to end homelessness, but the many people who are in fact much wealthier than the royal family don't even pretend to want to end homelessness. No one ever demanded to know why Rishi Sunak didn't spend his own money and use his own property to end homelessness.
I'm an American and I want to make this point. Don't look at Trump's last presidency as an indicator for how bad things will be. It will be much much worse.
Brilliant points, we need more people to hear them. We have cell phones, roads, hospitals, police, schools and everything else and people whine poor me we have nothing. I know someone who owns two homes and multiple vehicles who whines and thinks they are so hard done by having to pay taxes.
America is lost. There is no coming back from this. The lack of education, the hate…. we're watching a once great nation collapse after just a couple hundred years…. and it's all their own fault.
Why do people forget that they kept the tories in power for 14 years? Was it their latent racism that allowed that?
i Suspect a portion of the answer to how did this happen can be attributed to the modern way we consume media. The algorithms want you to keep watching so it will feed you what you prefer, so the left see news that they are engaged with, i.e what madness the right can come up with today and the right only sees the positive side of their views and they are fed all negativity of the Left… typically misframed to keep them watching. So in a world of left and right, with little love for the centre. the dividing line became well defined and the algorithm became more efficient, Those view result in monetisation and as such the creators of that content dial their respective messaging to exploit the algorithm for financial gain and not even aware the consequences of such actions. I have freinds on both sides and we each know each others views, i am far left and for me 45th is a nut job, barely above the line of mentally handicapped. but my firends dont consume the sale algorithm as me and so they recite the talking points, ultimately when we both return to our lonesome…. the algorithm continues to divide…. at least TV had rules…but that was during a time when people demanded manners… long gone in todays world. Nobody, imclduing 45th is exempt from the algorithm, not musk who has control over, nobody is exempt. We need laws about alorithms providing both sides of certain topics, especially political topics, so we not be misguided.

As an American to other Americans – If you ever wondered what you would have done if you lived in 1930's Germany, you're doing it now.
That's why no country should have that much influence and power. I don't care to live in US yet this still affects me and the world. I wish this election was not consequential .
The American public scare the daylights out of me. The level of ignorance is mental. In a sensible world the 'rest of the world' would all have a qualified vote in the US elections .
I have a lot of friends in the USA and they are truly very worried about this. Thankfully there has been a lot of negative feedback to this rally, but of course trump has denied (as always) having any prior knowledge of the speeches.

The US rate of inflation has improved (i.e. decreased) under Biden/Harris more than any other major country in the world.
I can explain the Hannibal Lecter clip a bit. In previous rallies–from a month or two ago–Trump described Hannibal Lecter as a great person, someone to be admired. He did this on multiple occasions, saying how wonderful Hannibal Lecter was. So, he was making two mistakes: (1) Lecter is a character and not real, and (2) Lecter is terrible and not wonderful.
Eventually, someone clearly explained to him that Lecter was the very bad guy in a movie, so he shouldn't be saying this. (It goes along nicely with your comments about those who may cheer against Luke Skywalker or Katniss Everdeen.) In any case, it's just as clear that he got the message only partially. Now, he understands that Lecter was bad, but he still seems to be unaware that it's a character's name.
So, in the clip, he's trying to clean up his mess from earlier, but failing at it.
Agree with James that Trump has encouraged the latent racism and it is utterly terrifying!
People who go on about “illegals” and then bring Puerto Rico into it are exposing themselves. They are US citizens. Immigration has nothing to do with it, you showed what your real grievance is, and you have no business crying foul for being called what you are.
The caller at 46:40 was spot on 👌 but the presenter was squealing with no valid argument. We are getting what he listed at 10x the actual cost.

WTEF are you asking high tax payers to pay more, like assuming that the collected tax is most efficiently spent. Look at the wastage in NHS.
