Just weeks after Hurricane Helene, Hurricane Milton has left over 3 million Floridians without power. Natural disasters during election years can have a significant impact.

In 2018, voter turnout dropped by 7.2% in areas hit hardest by Hurricane Michael. And in 2012, Hurricane Sandy led to a 2.8% decline in turnout in New York and New Jersey.
