ABOUT THE GOOD PLACE
From Michael Schur, executive producer of “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” and “Parks and Recreation,” comes a smart, unique new comedy that follows Eleanor Shellstrop (Kristen Bell, “House of Lies,” “Veronica Mars”), an ordinary woman who, through an extraordinary string of events, enters the afterlife where she comes to realize that she hasn’t been a very good person. With the help of her wise afterlife mentor (Ted Danson, “Bored to Death,” “Cheers”), she’s determined to shed her old way of living and discover the awesome (or at least the pretty good) person within.

  1. the thing about eleanor is how self-aware she is of herself and of her flaws/trauma. she's aware that it has an effect on her, and (mostly) lets it run her actions. she never has an "epiphany". and that makes for such a wise person when she does choose to change, or is given an incentive/support. she's in touch with how these things feel, and is blunt/tough enough to keep it real and give genuinely relatable advice, but not without a sense of comfort.

  2. Actually toothbrushes holder is quite cool thing. We are using mug, but I'm litterally only one in family who puts his toothbrush to not touch others. Damn, I know we are amily, but we don't tongue kiss each other, so why should we allow out toothbrushes to touch their heads?

  3. i'm curious if a non-human being would even have this reaction because as a non-human we can't guarantee that michael has a self-preservation instinct, and if someone doesn't have one of those i don't think we can guarantee that their own death will upset them

  4. This scene spoke to me man. I once had realization of how death would be like. And i've been scared ever since of that realization. It eats me, but i deal with it by addressing it.

  5. Aqua Teen Hunger Force begs to differ on what Chidi said to there being no consequences for those who live forever. Because if you get a life sentence in prison…it never ends. Not even in a few trillion years. January 4, 2019, 7:17pm

  6. "If I stop moving, I start thinking. If I start thinking, I start thinking about things I don't want to think about-like death…….oops".

    That's genius writing right there.

  7. That's a very good point. I've freaked out about death but it's like, you either let that fear rule you or live your life. You don't stop carrying that burden of knowledge but you can move forward.

  8. This clip includes the moment that truly captures Kristen Bell's brilliance as an actress – the moment when she manages to be simultaneously hilarious, and utterly heartbreaking <3 <3 <3 That toothbrush monologue gets me every time!
