Let's just say the grizzly and the gorillas have equal amount of strength and speed the grizzly still has carnivorous canines and humongous claws. And a coat of fur to protect against subpar bites
If gorrila punch the bear, bear will become very crazy angry every punch more crazy together with his long sharp nails and mouth bear will swing everywhere. Bear is not easy to kill him with gorrila power punch, gorrila will break his bones also
If gorrila skin was thick tough difficult to cut and he fights smart then he can win.
Bear have more weapons and his skin is to thick/heavy fat to cut.

i'm rooting for the silver back if ever it happens.. even thou the grizzly is bigger, the gorilla's natural weapon of choice is the hammer punch, which is very powerful that can knock the bear out.., gorillas also are agile and fast so it's hard for the bear to catch.
I have seen the Grizzly in the wild as it killed an elk with one blow to the head.Grizz wins no contest.

This reviewer has never seen a bear run. Or shake a tree to pieces. Or the size of the bullet it would take to kill a grizzly. The gorilla has zero chance of winning this fight. The gorilla isn't strong enough, fast enough, definitely not smart enough. The gorilla would run or die.

To say a silver back leads a peaceful life on the main is totally misleading. The clue is in the alpha male of a group is the only one who can mate with the females. The alpha males are always being challenged a lot of the time by one of their offspring. I don't think anyone saying a grisly bear would win have seen how aggressive a silverback is in a confrontation as if they had they wouldn't be so sure I can guarantee that. I'm not saying a silverback would win every confrontation with a grisly. I'm actually pretty sure it would come down to each individual fighting. Like they say here I can't see one clear winner either way. You have to remember though a silverbacks strength to weight ratio is something like 8 to 10 times that of a human. So the weight difference goes out of the window for me as well.
As much as I love GORILLAS they can't win. THE BEAR IS FUCKING TOO BIG. The only animal I believe is match for the big POLAR AND BROWN BEAR is a LION PRIDE or 2 male lions.
I learned a heck of a lot about these top of the food chain predators except who would win in a fight.
