APPLE VALLEY – SBSO Apple Valley and Apple Valley Fire was dispatched to Dale Evans Parkway (19200 block) and Johnson Road around 8:15 PM Sunday night on a report of a traffic collision with extrication. Arriving units found a white sedan wedged under a semi truck trailer. The driver of the sedan appeared to have run a stop sign and slammed into side of the big rig as it was crossing the intersection. The accident occurred near a Walmart Distribution warehouse complex in rural Apple Valley. Fire paramedics pronounced the driver of the sedan deceased on scene. The condition of the driver of the truck is unknown but there appeared to be no damage to the driver’s compartment of the truck. As of 11:00 PM Dale Evans Parkway remained closed for the investigation.
