13. I don't understand how Russians can be so bad drivers? It's like they are fatalists, they never brake at an intersection just plow on without slowing down. The same with some of the cars that shot the videos, they honk the horn and then continue smacking into the other car. Drunk?

16. I suspect that the main reason why roads in the UK are more safe than many others around the world is because we have narrower roads and fewer lanes. We also have SLOW painted on many roads before bends and junctions, makes you think, and advanced signage warning you of bends, junctions, traffic lights and all manner of hazards and potential hazards. We also have severe penalties for drink driving and using a mobile phone at the wheel. That free for all junction at 8:20 would have 4 full sets of traffic lights and you would see 4 lights from whichever way you came at about 6’ (2m) from the ground. The speed limit in towns, cities and built up areas is 30 mph and 70 mph on motorways and fortunately even our most arrogant drivers won’t exceed slower limits by more than 10 mph and 20 mph on motorways. Do 100 mph on a motorway and risk a ban.Yes these are bad drivers, and we have our share in the UK, but mainly they’re badly planned and managed roads in desperate need of UK style signage, advance signage, traffic lights, speed limits and penalties. This would surely reduce accidents by half instantly and 80%, maybe 90% over a couple of years. Rant over.
