  1. I picked up the first book about Ginny and Philip, The Dog Who Rescues Cats, at the sale shelf at the library, and read it through in a couple of days. I am glad Ginny lived a long life – she lived to be 17!, and helped Philip and the cats all that time. I am also very glad to know that Philip and his neighbor Sheila are still helping stray cats in Long Island, and have a nonprofit and a Facebook presence: The Ginny Fund. Philip and Sheilah continue to feed and take care of the cats! Volunteers help with the news letters, organizing the mail sent, social media, etc.

  2. I was listening to the radio today and they mentioned this story…had to look it up! Wow. What a wonderful story. I wonder how Philip is doing since Ginny has passed….

  3. I found the book about Ginny in a second hand bookstore a couple of weeks ago.  By far the most beautiful story I've ever read.  There wasn't a single page read where I didn't have tears in my eyes.

There is A LOT more needed to be done to reduce the population of unwanted cats on the streets and in the shelters, specifically spaying/neutering.

  4. i really loved watching this video here in new zealand, what an amazing special dog ginny is for rescuing all of those cats, she was lucky to find such a wondering caring owner, i wish that all people could love animals as much as ginny's owner does and the world would be a better place

  5. God Bless You — please update everyone on your life now. I pray you are still doing well and continuing her legacy. You are an angel.
